Preface

In today’s fast-paced society, we are always called upon to use our time efficiently in order to increase productivity and achieve goals. Therefore, we employ various time management techniques and methods in the hope of gaining better control over our time. However, have we ever thought that managing attention is more important than managing time? This article explores this view and provides reasons and citations for it.

Time management constraints

We often hear that time passes like an hourglass and cannot be reversed. However, even when we can organize our time effectively, breaking it down into small chunks like Pomodoros or Mini Habits, there is still a trap we can fall into. These methods, while helpful for productivity, do not solve our attention problems. Despite our efforts to avoid distractions in our time planning, the fact that most of the time we don’t notice our unknowingly distracted attention is a cause for concern.

The importance of managing attention
